Mortgage rates are suddenly down again for a short period - if you can close on a property in the next 45 to 60 days you could take advantage of some amazing rates that are currently available.

Despite all the hoopla about mortgage rates going up they are suddenly down again and apparently going to stay down for the next while.  So much so that some lenders are offering some extremely great rates if you have a quick close coming on within the next 45 to 60 days.  Especially the variable rates which are at prime minus 75 points and less and also some of the 3 and 4 year fixed rates are really great! 

For the second year in a row, Ottawa-Gatineau takes the top spot in the rankings at Money Sense Magazine. What does it have that other cities don’t? In a word, consistency. It does not rank particularly high in any individual category but it comes in above average across the board. It has jobs, accessible doctors, low crime, and household incomes and real estate are not drastically misaligned. There is a wealth of museums and galleries keep the culture-lover occupied, and the hostile winters are balanced out by beautiful summers.

For Ottawa Area Art lovers - a chance to get some original art work from 50 different Ottawa area artists.  As a fund raiser for the Ottawa Arts Court Foundation they are putting on this great social evening whereby you can mingle with the artists, enjoy a cocktail or two and some hors d'oeuvres.  Wednesday April 6th 5:30 to 9:00 P.M.

Domicile launches the new condo project near Little Italy and Dow's lake - called The hōm starting on Saturday March 5th.

This new building is going to be a green building targeting a Leeds® Silver Designation and also going to be one of the first designated non-smoking new condo buildings in Ottawa.

On January 18th 2011, news broke that Mastercraft Starwood had begun exploring the launch of a new, 35-storey luxury condominium built in the heart of Little Italy in downtown Ottawa. This project - a combination of award winning architecture, design and service - would be Ottawa's tallest building.

That building is facing lots of flack from the neighbours to date but also will bring some interesting and stylish architecture to Ottawa's skyline if successfull.
